Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 March 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Speechion’s application, website, and related services (the “Services”). By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Who we are
The Services are provided by the entity identified as Speechion in app store listings and on our website (“Speechion”, “we”, “us”).
3. Eligibility
You must be old enough to enter a binding contract in your country and meet any minimum age requirements for the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
4. Licence
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services in accordance with their documentation and applicable app store rules.
You must not:
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law;
- use the Services to build a competing product or scrape data at scale;
- circumvent security, quotas, or usage limits;
- use the Services in violation of law or third-party rights.
5. Your content
You retain rights to content you create using the Services. You grant us only the rights necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Services (e.g. processing audio and text as described in our Privacy Policy).
You are responsible for your content and for complying with laws that apply to recording, transcription, and sharing (including consent of participants where required).
6. AI and accuracy
6.1 Nature of AI output
The Services may use artificial intelligence. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for high-risk decisions without human review. You are responsible for how you use outputs.
6.2 No professional advice
Nothing in the Services constitutes legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
7. Third-party services
The Services may interoperate with third-party apps or services (e.g. export or sharing). Those services have their own terms and privacy policies; we are not responsible for them.
8. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the Services with reasonable notice where practicable. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.
9. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except where such disclaimers are not allowed.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Speechion and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim (or, if none, fifty euros (€50)), except where liability cannot be limited under mandatory consumer or other law.
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Speechion against claims arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the EU member state where Speechion is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory rights you may have as a consumer in your country of residence.
